Larry Long, President

Larry and wife Hazel have been part of Living Waters for 16 years. The Longs live in Thomasville, GA where they own and operate a produce sales company. They have been members of the New Covenant Church in Thomasville GA for 26 years and they are very active there. In the past, Larry has been head of the Ushers and the Men’s Ministry there. Hazel has been active in Women’s Aglow for years and was an officer for 8 years and is very active in the women’s program and other activities at New Covenant Church. She had been on the kitchen staff at Living Waters and now works in the office. Larry and Hazel have been married for 50 years, have two sons and daughters-in-laws, and five grandchildren, all who live in the Thomasville GA area. 16 years ago the Long’s never had plans to put so much time and effort into this ministry, but God had HIS own plans for them.

Administrator, Pearl Murphy

Pearl and Terre are from Cairo, GA, where Terre retired from UPS in 1998. They were very involved with their church. Pearl was very active with Women’s Aglow where she was president at the local and Southwest Georgia Area Board for 16 years. In 1998, the Murphys still had small grandkids in Cairo, GA. The Murphy's retirement plans were to enjoy being with their grandkids and to travel, but GOD had other plans for them. In April of 1999, Terre agreed to come to Living Waters for 30 days to help Earl Langford plant the ministry garden. Those 30 days have turned into 12 years; they have been living at Living Waters, helping with the ministry ever since. In February 2010, Pearl was elected as ministry administrator. Terre keeps the grounds as well as doing a host of other chores at the ministry. The Murphys gave up a lot of personal plans and desires to come to Living Waters to live and help carry forth this ministry.

Hazel Langford, Secretary and Treasurer

Earl and Hazel Langford lived in Lake City, FL, where Earl was an engineer for Oxondital Chemical Company and Hazel was a school teacher and a family counselor. The Langfords have been part of the Living Waters Ministry since the early days. In the mid 80’s, the Langfords retired, built a house at Living Waters, and moved there to live full time and help with the ministry. They are still here today serving, some 26 years later. Hazel has been the ministry secretary/treasurer and bookkeeper for many years. Earl has been in charge of the vegetable garden for a lot of years as well as doing a lot of other chores for the ministry.
